What arbitration decides
Arbitration determines entitlement to money in disputes that fall within the association’s authority. It is separate from an ethics complaint, which addresses conduct and discipline.
Common arbitration questions
- Are the parties subject to mandatory or voluntary arbitration?
- Is the dispute monetary and within the filing period?
- Is the matter already in court or subject to another agreement?
- Are the required deposits and documents included?
General process
Submit the arbitration complaint, narrative, documents and required deposit.
PWR reviews whether the matter is eligible for association arbitration.
A hearing panel considers testimony and evidence from the parties.
The panel issues a written award according to applicable procedures.
