What an ethics complaint addresses
An ethics complaint asks whether a REALTOR® member’s conduct violated one or more Articles of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics. It does not award money, cancel contracts, determine license status or provide legal damages.
Before filing
- Identify the respondent and the conduct at issue.
- Review the Code of Ethics and select the Article or rule involved.
- Prepare a factual written narrative.
- Gather relevant documents, correspondence and evidence.
- Review applicable filing deadlines.
